Ladies and Gentlemen
First and far most I would like to thank everyone for his or her presence at this great event
Today is one of the greatest and happiest days I ever had in my life. I believe it’s time for me, you and other Tanzanians out there going to gain knowledge, skills and techniques which will transform our lives and add some values that will enable us become more responsible in matters of personal and national interest. This is the strong move of Tanzania to some stapes forward.
It has been common nowadays hearing a person claim of Unemployment; Students brainstorm themselves on how they can give the best possible value in the market.

It is time. Here we are with experts in Marketing and business career, people who have done well in the market, people who have left the legacy. These experts are going to share with us almost what most of us have been thinking through time without a breakthrough. Together we are going to end up having answers to some endless questions we had; People ask,
1. How can one create his/her own employment?
2. How can one excel in the market?
3. How can one make use of Technology for effective and efficient outcomes?
4. What is one’s duty to position Tanzania to win the world market?
5. What is the Power of branding to Marketers and business people?

To speak of myself, I have 16 years now in studies but I have never realized strong commitments from colleagues to exploit opportunities for creation of employment and thinking of employing others. Am not saying no one has ever done this and it does not mean people are not capable of doing this.
It’s the ALTITUDE within us. On my side this does not complicate my brain, you may ask why? It’s for a very simple reason; ALTITUDES changes. So we don’t need to change people, we need to change the ATTITUDE within people. This is what pressurized DUMA to come up with this kind of event. Guys, CHANGING ATTITUDE
Think of the person who came up with the concept of mobile money. It’s not far, just Kenya. To date, this service in Kenya has employed 28,000 people. It has spread to Tanzania, Afghanstan and South Africa. Adaptation is expected in India and Egypt.
It is my opinion that awards should be given to people like these as among the ways of cerebrating them, people who trouble themselves for the betterment of others. Remember opportunities come from decisions we make.

People die but history never dies, let us make history; Mark Zuckerberg will never be forgotten. Jeff Besos (the founder and CEO of Amazon.com) will never be forgotten. Henry Ford will never be forgotten. Bilget will never be forgotten.
Is Mwl Nyerere alive today? Is Martin Luther King Jr alive today? Is Michael Jackson alive today? Is Wetney Hoston alive today? .All these do not exist today but their history is still alive Guys let’s make history; CREATIVITY and INNOVATION are the ways to make it. With you and me, we are going to create the future that no one in the past has ever realized.
We are here today but DUMA will keep running these kinds of discussions to realize that wonderful future.
Before I come to the end of my speech may I express my sincere gratitude with affection to the companies and people who have facilitated the event up to this moment;

The Organizing committee of the event; to tell the truth these people has done a very great job, I don’t have any good word to express their tireless contribution to the achievements of this event but I think it’s enough to say these are people who have facilitated my stand before you. I urge you stand good guys;

About DUMA
Dar es Salaam University Marketing Association (DUMA) is a marketing student association formed under the University of Dar es Salaam Business School. The association was inaugurated in 1978 with the role of enhancing its members to acquire the necessary skills, experience, exposure and high performance in Marketing for higher profits. In this light it organizes study tours, seminars, public talks and meeting various Executives from different organizations.
Mission and Vision
DUMA mission is “Supporting and Assisting students to realize their goals through creation of various opportunities”
DUMA vision is “to be the leading fast growing and enterprising student led association in creating opportunities to students to realize their goals, empowerment and capacity building”
Activities
Dar es Salaam University Marketing Association organizes different activities; Academic events, Dialogues, Study tours, Symposiums, Public talks, Conferences and Different social events (picnics and entertainment) that intend to sharpen understanding of members in a more practical form and gain experience in some fields. These activities are organized with different topics of discussion. The organization of these activities is grouped into two categories that are long term activities that are carried once in a year or after some years and also there are short term activities carried in every semester.
